Solid Axle Suspension

Independent Suspension

The form is breaking axle, two side axle activities irrelevant, to improve ride comfort andSecurity.

1) cross arm type suspension

: by the Upper and Lower Control Arm, Steering Knuckle, Steering well, Spring (Coil Spring, Spring to buffer and tire movement up and down. In this form, occur in the tyre ,The brake Force or turning Force (Cornering Force) are supported by control arm, spring only bear vertical load.According to the arrangement of spring and the use of the type of the spring, the form is divided into many kinds of again.

2) Strut Type or Mcpherson Type

:With Steering Knuckle form the overall installation under shock absorber sliding struts and cross arm, connection and lower suspension arm Ball Joint and spring.

The upper part of the sliding column through the top of the connection plate is connected to the body, the top of the connection plate column and sliding bearing.Body weight is supported by sliding column body through suspension, steering after sliding column rotate along with the steering knuckle.Compared with the cross arm type, simple structure, composition, elements of less, easy to maintain, and can reduce low spring weight, so the vehicle performance, Road Holding and ride comfort is good.

The general use of axle suspension frame is more, but the car in order to improve the ride comfort and stability use theindependent suspension, generally can be divided into

Rigid Axle Supension Type

Independent suspension

1)  Trialing Arm:

Support the tire by one or two arms facing the rear of the vehicle,It is composed of shock absorbers, coil springs and torsion bars. The advantages of this form are simple construction, front wheel positioning changes and less tire wear. This form is mostly used as a rear suspension device on small FF cars and is hardly used on FR cars.

A widely used form on the rear suspension of FR cars. This form is composed of two arms each bearing front and rear loads, five connecting rods such as transverse stinger bearing transverse loads, spiral springs and shock absorbers, mainly used in the fixed type of axle

3)Torsion Beam Axle Type:

It is mainly used as the suspension device of FF car middle and high grade cars. The U-shaped beam made of high strength steel plate is composed of transverse damping rod, shock absorber and spiral spring, and torsion bar mounted on the shaft beam. This form reduces the vibration transmitted to the car body, so the rotational stability and ride comfort is good.

4)Multi-link suspension

The suspension spring load reduction, improve the ride comfort and road holding .Lowering the chassis has the effect of enlarging the interior space.This form is the arm of the tire support oblique installation on the body of the form, is in the suspension device between the drag arm and the swing shaft, although it is a half arm type, but this form has a plurality of links, so called multi link type.
