It originated from racing cars. In order to adapt to various tracks, the setting of springs and shock absorbers needs to be changed, which is too troublesome and will increase the cost. Coilover can solve these problems, greatly changing the handling performance of vehicles without the need to replace springs and shock absorbers.

The replacement of the coilover belongs to the professional transformation, which has a high degree of freedom for the vehicle setting. If you want to debug the skein shock absorber, you need to repeatedly test and experience, and finally achieve the effect that the owner wants. Even if it is the same model to replace the same product, there will be differences, and individuals also have very subjective feelings about the demand for control.

The biggest feature of coilover is the adjustable height (high-end products also have adjustable multi-path damping design), we first look at the impact of the height of the body. When the vehicle is stationary, the distance from the ground of the four corners of the chassis has a great impact on the wheel load on the position. For example, the left front wheel suspension rises, increasing the load on the right rear wheel on the diagonal, while the load on the two wheels on the diagonal will be reduced.  Therefore change chassis height can control the vehicle before and after the counterweight, of course, the adjustment of the counterweight is limited scope.

For adjustable shock absorbers (compression and rebound damping can be adjusted), the method of adjustment is more complicated. Taking the compression damping setting as an example, the shock absorbers will compress at high speed when the vehicle is driving over potholes or racing shoulder, while the shock absorbers will compress at low speed when accelerating, braking and steering.
