How long is the life span of the shock absorber

Air shock absorbers have a life span of about 80,000 to 100,000 kilometers. Here’s how it works:

1.the car air shock absorber is called the buffer, it through a process called damping to control the undesired spring movement. The shock absorber can slow down and weaken the vibration motion by converting the kinetic energy of suspension motion into heat energy that can be dissipated by hydraulic oil. To understand how it works, it is best to look at the structure and function inside the shock absorber;

2. The shock absorber is basically an oil pump placed between the frame and the wheel. The upper support of the shock absorber is connected to the frame (that is, sprung mass) and the lower support is connected to the shaft (that is, unsprung mass) near the wheel. One of the most common types of shock absorbers in two-barrel designs is that the upper support is connected to a piston rod, which is connected to a piston, which is located in a barrel filled with hydraulic oil. The inner cylinder is called the pressure cylinder and the outer cylinder is called the oil storage cylinder. The oil storage cylinder stores the extra hydraulic oil;

3.when the wheel encounters bumps on the road and causes the spring to tighten and stretch, the spring energy is transferred to the shock absorber through the upper support, and is transferred to the piston through the piston rod down. The piston has holes through which hydraulic fluid can leak out as the piston moves up and down in the pressure cylinder. Because the holes are so tiny, very little hydraulic fluid can pass through at very high pressure. This slows down the piston, which slows down the spring.
